★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Un edificio che merita di essere visitato, in più occasioni e sotto diverse sfaccettature. Innanzitutto è un edificio religioso il cui interno barocco è fra i più sontuosi della città, da restare a bocca aperta. E' inoltre situato in pieno centro, accanto al palazzo di città e prospicente la piazza più scenografica di Palermo. Dai tetti di S. Caterina (ingresso a parte, a pagamento) ci si può regalare scatti fotografici meravigliosi. E' infine visitabile parte del convento di clausura, fra i più noti della regione, in cui le ultime monache hanno vissuto sino a pochissimi anni fa. Insomma, un luogo imperdibile per turisti e cittadini.
A building that deserves to be visited, on several occasions and under different facets. First of all it is a religious building whose Baroque interior is among the most sumptuous in the city, to be left speechless. It is also located in the center, next to the city palace and overlooking the most scenic square in Palermo. From the roofs of S. Caterina (separate entrance, for a fee) you can give yourself wonderful photographic shots. Finally, it is possible to visit part of the cloistered convent, one of the best known in the region, where the last nuns lived until a few years ago. In short, an unmissable place for tourists and citizens.
