L'unico elemento romanico superstite è uno slanciato campanile in mattoni di matrice lombarda, che però presenta una cella sommitale di influsso ravennate. La chiesa moderna, costruita in sostituzione dell'antica struttura andata perduta, è veramente brutta e la sua architettura completamente fuori contesto. The original Romanesque building of the church was destroyed during the bombing of 1944. The only surviving Romanesque element is a slender brick bell tower of Lombard matrix, which however has a summit cell of Ravenna influence. The modern church, built to replace the ancient structure lost, is really ugly and its architecture completely out of context.

Complessivamente la chiesa è piacevole, i muri in cotto ingentiliscono la struttura, ovvero pietra accostata al cemento. La chiesa risultava essere una delle più antiche della cittá, ma rasa al suolo dopo un bombardamento della seconda guerra mondiadle, venne ricostruita in forme moderne. L'esterno é in stile moderno. L'interno é diviso in tre navate, a pianta centrale in stile moderno contemporaneo. Le caratteristiche che colpiscono di questa chiesa sono: - la decorazione data dai mattoni, esternamente che richiama le losanghe esterne di palazzo ducale di venezia; - il fatto che le colonne siano alberi, e che diano un senso di libertà... Ingresso: gratuito. Data della mia visita: 3/07/20 The church of San Martino is located in the historic center of Treviso. The church turned out to be one of the oldest in the city, but razed to the ground after a bombing of the Second World War, it was rebuilt in modern forms. The exterior is modern in style. N	NIMICA on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Struttura unica. Risorta dalle ceneri della vecchia chiesa bombardata nella seconda guerra mondiale. Architettura veramente stupenda. Rende questa chiesa un luogo di ispirazione per molta gente. Unico neo, servirebbe maggior impegno per organizzare eventi. Rendere partecipi tutti il piu possibile. Unique structure. Risen from the ashes of the old church bombed in World War II. Truly stunning architecture. It makes this church a place of inspiration for many people. The only drawback, it would take more effort to organize events. Get everyone involved as much as possible.
