★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This hotel is fine, just a little like being on the set of The Shining. Maybe it was the out of season vibe, but there was something interestingly disquieting about it. Felt like the ghosts of party parties were haunting it. No air con in the room, quite hard bed, pool out of action, but am not suggesting that was advertised otherwise. Strangely cool lights in bathroom. Short walk from town.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Disappointed in this hotel. The bed is uncomfortably hard and the shower is the smallest I've ever seen in an hotel. The breakfast isn't very inspiring either, with poor choice of food, poor beverages and a very rude waiter!
I wouldn't come back here and in comparison to other hotels we've stayed in Italy the Hotel San Michele is nowhere near their standard and is much more expensive.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quiet place, pretty private and nice looking, very clean rooms. Breakfast was a huge selection, maybe a bit chaotic presented but still fine. Even though it's located at the heart of a town it still is very well reserved and you don't hear the traffic from the road easily

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful hotel with fabulous outside pool and garden. The bedroom was a good size and the bed very comfortable. Lost a star due to the shower cubicle being very small, don't drop your soap.....you won't be able to bend down to get it! Immaculately clean. Good selection of traditional food, don't go if you want British cuisine. The young female receptionist was very helpful and pleasant but the male receptionists, whilst being very efficient did not know how to smile!
The hotel has a supermarket and pharmacy very close by and the town is within walking distance too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice Palazzo in a well trimmed garden with cozy pool area having big lounge beds on romantic lanais.
Small but really comfy rooms with outlets and switches next to beds.
WiFi alternating, nevertheless ok.
Shower a bit narrow for big guys in the smaller rooms.
Great beds, slept really well, nice 'n strong AirCo which came more than handy with the temperatures around 40°C/104°F.
Big parking lot for free, drive in around the corner of the main entrance.
Breakfast ok, but definitely not 4 star.
Take it outside on the terrace, for a fresh start.
Restaurant stylish on the snobby side with fresh food and quality ingredients.
I'd recommend dressing well for dinner.
A lot of elderly people there during my stay which told me they repeat every year, sort of long-standing coming back guests to enjoy this little precious oasis in buzzing Martina Franca.
Not really a short stroll to the old town, it takes like 20 minutes minimum.
