β β β β β Great way to spend the morning, going through a tunnel excavated so that Augustus could visit his friends during the winter when the seas are rough. The tour is in Italian so you will have to read up before or find a kindly Italian to translate for you. The tour starts around 1100 and you will have to book in advance.

β β β β β Very pretty..nicely kept. Great views of the sea. The park is small..but the tunnel is amazing. No parking in site..no bathrooms, giftshop or vending. Bring sunscreen and own water.

β β β β β Very nice archaeological park of a villa on the sea. It is between many private homes on semi-private land. The access via an 800m long tunnel made at Roman times is really neat. The remains are not as impressive as the site is.
