★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il castello è bello da visitare solo perché dona degli scorci fantastici del paesaggio circostante, ma è abbandonato a se stesso, nessuna cura, nessuna manutenzione, nessun controllo, insomma è un rudere lasciato a marcire. Però se si ha l'ardire di esplorare fin sopra alle torri, la visita è premiata per la vista.
The castle is beautiful to visit only because it gives fantastic views of the surrounding landscape, but is left to itself, no care, no maintenance, no control, in short, it is a ruin left to rot. But if you have the audacity to explore even above the towers, the visit is rewarded for the view.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A beautiful hike or bike ride to the castle with stunning views of the valley below. With Mt. Vesuvio in the background, every clearing makes for a picture perfect view. The hike takes about 45 mins but its not difficult. The castle gates are always open and the grass courtyard is ideal for a picnic. You're free to explore in and around the castle but it is not exactly safe for little kids. Holes in the floors that drop at least 15ft so best to keep littles close by or in the courtyard. For the older bunch, you can climb up, inside part of the castle and explore a few room's upstairs with even more breathtaking views. Overall a great visit for people of all ages.
