Non sempre aperto e con poca manutenzione il Mausoleo Schilizzi è assolutamente un posto da visitare, evocativo, affascinante ed intrigante. Malgrado sia un altare ai caduti della prima guerra mondiale, quindi un luogo di rimembranza ha fortissima energia positiva e creativa. Lo stile neo egizio è una vera rarità
Molti anche napoletani non conoscono il Mausoleo, peccato. Andateci assolutamente

Not always open and with little maintenance the Schilizzi Mausoleum is absolutely a place to visit, evocative, fascinating and intriguing. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sulla collina di Posillipo, vicino piazza Salvatore di Giacomo, c’è il Mausoleo Schilizzi (ufficialmente, «Ara votiva per i caduti della patria»), un’imponente costruzione dell’800 che custodisce le spoglie dei caduti della Prima e Seconda Guerra mondiale, compresi gli eroi delle Quattro Giornate che liberarono la città dai tedeschi. Assolutamente da visitare. Ufficialmente l' orario di apertura è 9:00-17:00 dal lunedì al venerdì.
On the Posillipo hill, near Piazza Salvatore di Giacomo, there is the Schilizzi Mausoleum (officially, "Votive altar for the fallen of the homeland"), an imposing 19th century building that houses the remains of the fallen of the First and Second World Wars , including the heroes of the Four Days who liberated the city from the Germans. A must visit. Officially the opening hours are 9: 00-17: 00 from Monday to Friday.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Monumento aperto soltanto in alcuni periodi dell'anno, di solito in occasione di eventi o festività. Merita una visita, è ben tenuto e anche visto dall'esterno fa un certo effetto "ciclopico"! E poi ai caduti vanno sempre rivolte le nostre preghiere e la nostra riconoscenza.
