β β β β β Nice protected underwater park with roman ruins. I recommend to book a guided tour to understand better what you will see. For those qualified, you can scuba dive. Else, snorkeling, kayaking or glass bottom boat offer opportunities to watch the site from above. Number of daily visitors is limited to 100, so better to book in advance. They rent all required equipment. Tiny beach.
There is a 10 to 15 minutes walk down to access the site, as parking nearby is impossible. It is an easy walk, but a bit steep to go back up - though some taxi wait for you at the top of the stairs alley, to shuttle you back up, should you need it.

β β β β β We were there for a snorkeling session. It costs 20β¬ per person and they provide the necessary clothing and accessories if you don't have them with you. Before the immersion they show an introductory presentation also in English if needed. The instructors are really competent and you constantly have the feeling that the entire structure is leaded by professionals. The immersion lasts around 2 hours and the protected marine area is simply breath taking. There are Roman ruiins underwater and the instructor drives you and explain Evey single peace of history in the surroundings during all the tour.

β β β β β What an absolute gem! Loved every second here, such beautiful water and surroundings. Good to know: opening hours 10-4 and there is a maximum capacity of 100 people at a time so may be a bit of a wait to get in. We went at 1.30 pm and waited for around 40 minutes. You must also bring a passport or ID card which you get back when you leave. You can swim in βzone Bβ of the reserve without queuing if not too bothered about seeing Gaiola island, though it is very busy and water not as pristine. There is a little kiosk selling drinks and snacks.

β β β β β So beautiful! Tourist should know that you need to bring your passport in order to gain access to the waterfront area. It has to be left at the check in table and is returned when you leave. You can swim and snorkel in this area. It is very difficult to get to as a tourist and requires traversing through cliff side neighborhoods overlooking the water and untouched nature. It is the most beautiful scene I enjoyed during my two week tour through Italy. Very peaceful area.

β β β β β We did a kayak tour with KayakNapoli, which was the highlight of our trip
Gentle kayaking, suitable for pretty much everyone, along the coast from Posillipo, with a bit of swimming to see underwater Roman columns, and rising bubbles from an underwater volcanic crater.
Excellent guided tour & beautiful scenery

β β β β β Beautiful place and free, no fee for entrance needed. Quite crowded in July, many families. Not the best place to be relaxed. The beach is very clean in comparison with the ones in the City centre. The access is not possible in public transport but taxis work pretty well.

β β β β β Great place to spend whole day at the sea shore. A beach is quite messy, nevertheless the water quality and the view are so amazing that you can even don't pay attention to some garbage around. Really overcrowded on weekends.
