Pantheon View B&B

Nice rooms, great that there's airconditioning (especially in the hot summer months). Very friendly and helpful staff. Also a wonderful location, almost next to the Pantheon

I gave it a 1 star because I had to give it a star to post... We arrived and immediately she wanted the whole amount of money and had us go to the ATM to get it she held my husband's passport until we got back, so wehad to drop everything and go and get the money. This was ok, but I thought you could pay Visa or Cash on it so we didnt go before hand.When getting into room, the shower was so small..I at 5'4 could barely turn around in it let alone my husband who is over 6'. All our other accommodations weren't like this. There was no view of the Pantheon, we faced two building apartments. Our room was outside of the breakfast nook where the lady started doing breakfast at 7am. When given the rules we were told we had to be out of our room for cleaning between 930-11 so both days we were out by 8. When we would come back to rest after 11 on both days they'd have our door wide open and they'd be in there...fixing the AC, taking a desk out of the room...etc. I didn't think this was normal and it made me quite worried to even leave our stuff in there. The night before we left, we were all settled up on the money and what not, but we rang the bell at the front desk to formally check out only she was unavailable. We had told her we were leaving very early the next morning and she seemed annoyed we couldn't check out the next morning when we told her that morning (Not our fault as we had to be at the airport). She called a taxi for us to the airport which was nice of her but when we got to airport to pay the taxi driver...he said she had already paid him..so then it became a stress as to how we were going to give her euros because she apparently didn't want our visa card. I am not sure why she paid the taxi when every where else we went we paid ourselves. Needlessly to say: it didn't match up to our expectation.

I spent at the Pantheon View B&B my vacation. The Bed & Breakfast is really beautiful and it is located in the center of Rome, near all the monuments and shopping streets. It has a unique style and the staff is kindly. My room was roomy and it had a balcony overlooking the dome of Pantheon. I spent here unforgettable days, if I go again in Rome i will book the Pantheon View Bed and Breakfast again.

The room was nice but it was a bit dirty and overpriced. The so-called Pnatheon view was literally a view to the roof of the Pantheon. The breakfast room was really small and only had six benches. The owner wasn't there when we said we would check-in.

I had my stay here cancelled due to Covid 19 My 1* review reflects the inflexibility of hotel management to offer new dates or a voucher instead of just grabbing the money. While they were legally within their rights I consider their attitude to be wholly morally wrong.

What a great little place this was to stay during our first visit to Rome. The service was great and our room was lovely, just as it looks in their photos. We had a room with a balcony where we enjoyed the free wine and snacks the hotel provided every evening between 6 and 7. The air conditioning worked very well which was a relief. Breakfast was also nice with a great selection of egg, bread, cheeses, pastries, etc. The location was perfect, we were able to walk everywhere. To get to the hotel we got the express train to the main train station and then a taxi to the hotel. The taxi cost us 10 euros for a 15 min trip but some taxi drivers wanted up to 30 euros so you might have to haggle a bit!!

An absolute gem of a place to stay in Rome. Family run for 20 years, in really old building, tastefully restored, with sumptuous rooms that each have balconies and well appointed bathrooms. Location is superb 50 metres from the Pantheon, in easy walking of all the main sites around. We stayed here for 4 nights for our 25th wedding anniversary and the whole staff looked after us impeccably, from before we arrived with flowers, wine, chocolates arranged with a hand written note. They organised our transfers from the airport and gave us wonderful advice for our sight seeing days so we could make the most of our romantic stay. We can't recommend this place highly enough. 5 stars. You won't be disappointed! Book it!

Room looked exactly like the photo but darker. The balcony was not what we expected as barely room for a small table and 2 chairs. I dropped something on floor and when I leaned down to pick it up realised floor was dusty and a bit grubby. Bathroom looked OK but shower was tiny, I'm 5.5 and there wasn't much head room , there was no space to turn around but water pressure was good and plenty of hot water. Covid restrictions meant pre packaged breakfast items which were not great. Coffee was not good either. Plenty of places nearby with excellent coffee. Saw a couple of members of staff for a few seconds as arrived or left, seemed pleasant and friendly. Only 1 key to room which was inconvenient as you need keys to open front door, internal security door and then the door to the B & B. So if one of your party left they took the keys which had a fob which allowed the electricity to work. Was very expensive for what it was. If we had paid half of what we did, I think that would have seemed more value for money. We had booked pre covid and due to changing restrictions, lockdowns, red lists etc we had to change our booking 5 times which the owners allowed. No one around when we checked out at 8.30am. So we left keys on desk and left. Everything was smaller and grubbier than expected. Wouldn't stay there again. Location is fantastic for visiting places and restaurants and cafes.
