Si può raggiungere con tre sentieri di trekking, tutti belli ed ognuno con le sue caratteristiche. Qui sotto trovate tutte le info sui tre sentieri (uno è molto panoramico, uno è molto ripido, uno è sia ripido che panoramico) e le altre escursioni e Trekking nel Parco Nazionale del Circeo. Sulla sommità del picco c’è quello che rimane del tempio dedicato a Circe o Venere. In epoca romana, ed anche prima, le tribù italiche lo raggiungevano in un lungo pellegrinaggio, partendo dai vari insediamenti della zona Pontina (qui trovate la storia e le leggende sul Picco di Circe e la Maga Circe). Il panorama è unico e lascia senza fiato. Il mare circonda il promontorio su tre lati: da una parte si vedono le Isole Pontine (la più grande è l’Isola di Ponza con accanto Palmarola e Zannone e Ventotene un po’ più in là); da un’altra si vede il Golfo di Gaeta e quando il cielo è particolarmente sereno anche quello di Napoli; sul lato opposto c’è la spiaggia di Sabaudia (la spiaggia di Torre Paola) con le dune che separano il mare dai laghi costieri (il lago di Paola, di Caprolace e di Fogliano). The Circe Peak is the highest peak of the Circeo Promontory (541 meters above sea level). It can be reached with three trekking paths, all beautiful and each with its own characteristics. Below you will find all the info on the three trails (one is very scenic, one is very steep, one is both steep and panoramic) and the other excursions and Trekking in the Circeo National Park. On the top of the peak there is what remains of the temple dedicated to Circe or Venus. In Roman times, and even earlier, the Italic tribes reached it on a long pilgrimage, starting from the various settlements in the Pontina area (here you will find the history and legends of the Circe peak and the Circe sorceress). The view is unique and leaves you breathless. The sea surrounds the promontory on three sides: on one side you can see the Pontine Islands (the largest is the Island of Ponza with Palmarola and Zannone next to it and Ventotene a little further on); on the other you can see the Gulf of Gaeta and when the sky is particularly clear also that of Naples; on the opposite side is the beach of Sabaudia (the beach of Torre Paola) with the dunes that separate the sea from the coastal lakes (the lakes of Paola, Caprolace and Fogliano).

Consiglio scarpe da trekking e sconsiglio per coloro che soffrono di vertigini. Ci sono dei tratti in salita abbastanza impegnativa, insomma fare attenzione. Experience to do in life, very demanding climb, the descent making the direct route takes an hour and something to get off. I recommend hiking shoes and I do not recommend it for those who suffer from vertigo. There are quite demanding uphill sections, in short, be careful.
