★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visited in October when it was quiet, so maybe too busy in summer. Our 2 boys (2 & 4) and us loved this place. Beautiful long beach, safe swimming and amazing view of the tower. Good restaurant too. We went 8 days out of 9 during our visit...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We wound up here on a spur-of-the-moment side trip once we rented our car. It was just what I needed. A beautiful place to clamber around for a little while, taking in the wonderful scenery and watching the surfers. I had hoped to be able to walk up to the castle but the gates were locked. Climbing on the rocks around the outside wall was fun anyway. The only thing not pleasant about our visit was the biting flies but I put up with them for the chance to explore a little.
