★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Passavo per S. Margherita. Dovevo rientrare a Fidenza e avevo già la testa avanti coi pensieri su ciò che dovevo fare ancora. Passando davanti al forno mi venne da guardare verso, in modo quasi automatico - per curiosità - al cartello all'ingresso della proprietà. Tra le altre cose, c'era scritto - a grandi lettere - "Focaccia con le patate". Mi sono fermato, fatto l'inversione e sono tornato
indietro. Entrato nel negozio - lo conoscevo bene perché in passato ho vissuto molto anni a S. Margherita - l'essenzialita' semplice di un negozio ordinato mi è venuta subito incontro con un profumo... dicevo un profumo di pane fresco... appena sfornato! E mentre respiravo questo elisir di profumi che mi riportava indietro negli anni è arrivata la mamma della titolare per servirmi. Nelle vetrine del bancone c'erano tanti tipi di pane che mi attiravano ma la mia attenzione si è subito diretta verso la focaccia con le patate. Sarà stata la forma particolare o piuttosto il profumo di buono che la focaccia ancora emanava espandendosi intorno. Alla signora dopo che mi sono presentato e che mi ha riconosciuto, sicuramente con un sorriso sotto la maschera chirurgica, ne ho ordinato due pezzi. Appena a casa l'assaggero' subito.

Among other things, it was written - in large letters - "Focaccia with potatoes". I stopped, reversed and went back
back. When I entered the shop - I knew him well because in the past I lived for many years in S. Margherita - the simple essentiality of a tidy shop immediately came to meet me with a scent ... I said a scent of fresh bread ... just baked ! And while I was breathing this perfume elixir that took me back over the years, the owner's mother came to serve me. In the windows of the counter there were many types of bread that attracted me but my attention was immediately directed towards the focaccia with potatoes. It must have been the particular shape or rather the good scent that the focaccia still emanated as it expanded around it. After I introduced myself and recognized me, surely with a smile under the surgical mask, I ordered two pieces from the lady. As soon as I get home I'll taste it right away.
