Posteggiata la macchina, in pochi passi si giunge alla panchina e al suo bellissimo panorama che si apre sulla sottostante Gattinara, che abbraccia la vista quasi a 180°, da N-E fino a S permette nelle giornate terse di poter vedere all'orizzonte il profilo dei grattacieli del nuovo quartiere City Life di Milano (!), oltre alla cupola di S.Gaudenzio di Novara. Alle spalle della panchina, fanno splendida mostra di sé di filari di vigneti dell'omonimo vino locale, che fanno da corollario al monte Rosa che si staglia a N-O della panchina. Si prosegue per la torre e lì oltre alla panchina con vista su vigneti e paese si trovano un enorme calice ed una foglia di una intagliata, oltre che ad una cappella e al bar gestito dagli alpini. Bellissima passeggiata tra le colline appunto adibite a vigneti, bellissimo il panorama che domina a 365 gradi. Bella la torre delle Castelle che domina la vallata. E	Eli on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Un bel punto panoramico per questa panchina. Si tratta di una panchina non nuovissima e le sue condizioni lo dimostrano. La Big Bench di Gattinara è stata posizionata all'interno di un complesso fortificato, il complesso delle castelle. La strada per raggiungerla è piuttosto ripida ma la si può fare anche in auto se si vuole: vi è un ampio parcheggio in cima. D'inverno assicuratevi di avere delle gomme opportune per l'auto: alcune zone possono ghiacciare in caso di neve.. può capitare com'è accaduto a me di trovare persone non in grado di manovrare e con l'auto bloccata sul ghiaccio... A nice vantage point for this bench. This is not a brand new bench and its conditions prove it. The Big Bench of Gattinara was positioned inside a fortified complex, the castelle complex. The road to reach it is quite steep but you can also do it by car if you want: there is a large parking lot at the top. In winter make sure you have suitable tires for the car: some areas can freeze in case of snow .. it can happen as it happened to me to find people unable to maneuver and with the car stuck on ice .. .

La strada per salire in alcuni punti è molto ripida e consigliano di farla a piedi perché è proprio stretta. La panchina purtroppo è stata un pò deturpata e sarebbe da riverniciare ma ha comunque il suo perché. L'unica cosa che mi dispiace è non essere riuscita ad avere il timbro perché gli alpini erano chiusi... Ma sarà un ottimo motivo per ritornarci ;) The view over the vineyards is truly spectacular, worth a visit. The road to go up in some places is very steep and they recommend walking because it is very narrow. Unfortunately, the bench was a little defaced and would need to be repainted but it still has its own reason. The only thing I regret is not being able to get the stamp because the Alpine troops were closed ... But it will be a great reason to return;)
