★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In occasione delle Vie dei Tesori è stato possibile visitare alcune zone dell’aeroporto. I bunker della seconda guerra mondiale, la torre di controllo, alcune sale adibite ad esposizione di documenti storici.
In tale occasione abbiamo potuto fare un volo sul piper Tangotango ed è stata un’esperienza unica. Vedere Il golfo di Mondello, la struttura della città, Monte Pellegrino dall’alta è un’emozione che lascia senza fiato.
On the occasion of the Vie dei Tesori it was possible to visit some areas of the airport. The bunkers of the second world war, the control tower, some rooms used for displaying historical documents.
On that occasion we were able to take a flight on the Tangotango piper and it was a unique experience. See The Gulf of Mondello, the structure of the city, Monte Pellegrino from the high is an emotion that leaves you breathless.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bellissima e storica realtà aeroportuale palermitana. Vi consiglio, se potete, di visitarlo, ritornerete indietro di decenni. Interessantissimi i Bunker della II guerra mondiale.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Piccolo aereoporto cittadino. Era l'aeroporto di Palermo prima che fosse realizzato Punta Raisi.
Adesso utilizzato per le Forze dell'ordine, elisoccorso ed altri enti pubblici e risulta come zona militare.
Il posto sarebbe molto bello se adeguatamente manuteso e potrebbe essere utilizzato in decine di modi per rivitalizzarlo, renderlo fruibile e produttivo.
Un esemoio su tutti, come in altre nazioni potrebbe essere utilizzato per attività sportive motoristiche e manifestazioni varie.
Basterebbe modificare l'accessibilità per le funzioni pubbliche e lasciare gli altri spazi ad usi "civili".
Unico aspetto positivo, oltre la bellezza del luogo, è l'aeroclub dove esiste la scuola volo, con ottimi piccoli aerei e le persone che si incontrano sono tutte gentili e coinvolgenti per il loro entusiasmo.
5 stelle all'aeroclub, 1 stella al resto.
Small city airport. It was the airport of Palermo before Punta Raisi was built.
Now used for law enforcement, helicopter rescue and other public bodies and results as a military zone.
The place would be very beautiful if properly maintained and could be used in dozens of ways to revitalize it, make it usable and productive.
One example above all, as in other countries, could be used for motor sports and various events.
It would be enough to modify the accessibility for public functions and leave the other spaces to "civil" uses.
The only positive aspect, beyond the beauty of the place, is the aeroclub where the flight school exists, with excellent small planes and the people who meet are all kind and engaging for their enthusiasm.
5 stars at the aeroclub, 1 star at the rest.
