★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In questo luogo in passato sorgeva un fortilizio detto "Torre dei Saraceni", perché il principe longobardo Radelchi, con l'aiuto dei Saraceni, si difese e vi trovò rifugio durante la guerra civile tra Benevento e Salerno dell'839-849. Nel corso degli anni la struttura, venduta dal principe, fu convertita in abitazione dalle diverse famiglie a cui è appartenuta, l'ultima quella dei Virnicchi. Si dice che sia stata la casa natale di Rinaldo D'Aquino, poeta della Scuola siciliana del XIII sec.
Dopo il terremoto del 1980 il Palazzo è ormai ridotto ad un rudere. È ancora possibile vedere un portale, rimasto incredibilmente integro e i resti della Torre saracena.
 In this place in the past there was a fortress called "Torre dei Saraceni", because the Lombard prince Radelchi, with the help of the Saracens, defended himself and found refuge there during the civil war between Benevento and Salerno in 839-849. Over the years, the structure, sold by the prince, was converted into a dwelling by the various families to which it belonged, the last being that of the Virnicchi. It is said that it was the birthplace of Rinaldo D'Aquino, poet of the 13th century Sicilian school.
After the earthquake of 1980, the palace is now reduced to a ruin. It is still possible to see a portal, which remained incredibly intact and the remains of the Saracen Tower.
