Salvatore, è stato inaugurato il 30 giugno del 2012 sul Santuario del SS. Salvatore di Montella. Il manufatto è alto oltre quattro metri e ottanta centimetri, ha per titolo “IL CAMMINO DELLA SPERANZA”. Esso si erge come un albero contorto da una base di massi calcarei che vogliono rappresentare l’aridità della vita nel luogo di nascita. Da esso partono le radici contorte dell’albero. Gli uccelli migratori sono il simbolo della speranza. La tortuosità del tronco dell’albero rappresenta il difficile cammino dell’emigrante in terre sconosciute. I volti che si affacciano dal tronco simboleggiano la sofferenza iniziale degli emigranti. Salendo il fusto si allarga a forma di calice simbolo della speranza. Le mani che sorreggono la famiglia rappresentano la solidarietà tra gli emigranti. Il. fanciullo stretto tra i genitori rappresenta la fertilità e la continuità della vita. La sommità del monumento, con la famiglia unita e felice, rappresenta il raggiungimento degli scopi dell’emigrazione e della raggiunta felicità. The monument to the emigrant, made in bronze by the master Antonio Manzi born in Montella and already author of the two side doors of the Church of SS. Salvatore, was inaugurated on 30 June 2012 on the Sanctuary of SS. Salvatore di Montella. The artifact is over four meters and eighty centimeters high and has the title "THE WAY OF HOPE". It stands like a twisted tree from a base of limestone boulders that want to represent the aridity of life in the place of birth. The twisted roots of the tree start from it. Migratory birds are the symbol of hope. The tortuosity of the tree trunk represents the difficult journey of the emigrant in unknown lands. The faces that look out from the trunk symbolize the initial suffering of the emigrants. As it goes up, the stem widens in the shape of a chalice, symbol of hope. The hands that support the family represent solidarity between the emigrants. The child squeezed between parents represents fertility and continuity of life. The top of the monument, with the united and happy family, represents the achievement of the goals of emigration and happiness achieved.
v	vincenzo battaglia on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Io ci sono andato in bici. Per chi ama pedalare, come me, una stupenda saluta. Dal basso la montagna sembra una piramide, traffico quasi assente. È possibile salire anche a piedi e per chi non può ci si arriva tranquillamente anche in auto. Una volta in cima si può visitare il santuario. La vista, dalla cima, è stupenda. Il mio consiglio per chi vuole salire in bici, nei mesi estivi, di farlo la mattina presto perche la scalata per il santuario è tutta esposta al sole con temperature superiori alla media pur essendo tra i 550 slm e 950 slm . I went there by bike. For those who love pedaling, like me, a wonderful greeting. From below the mountain looks like a pyramid, almost no traffic. It is also possible to climb on foot and for those who cannot, it can be reached easily by car. Once at the top you can visit the sanctuary. The view from the top is stunning. My advice for those who want to get on a bike, in the summer months, to do it early in the morning because the climb to the sanctuary is all exposed to the sun with temperatures above average despite being between 550 asl and 950 asl.
