Eretto a 954 metri di altitudine s.l.m., sulla sommità di un monte isolato dal resto della catena montuosa dei Monti Picentini, domina tutta la vallata sottostante. LA FACCIATA La facciata del Santuario è stata completamente ristrutturata nel 1979, si presenta molto semplice ed essenziale. L’ingresso dell’attuale chiesa settecentesca è preceduto da tre arcate con colonne che immettono in un piccolo atrio; da qui si accede al Tempio e, già entrando, si è toccati da un’atmosfera di sacro e silenzio, che emoziona.
