P	Pierluigi Capotondi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La sentinella dei Monti Picentini IL castello di Terravecchia, come gli altri dell’intero territorio, fu restaurato nel 1240 da Federico II,in quanto sorgeva su antichi resti romani,fu' degli Angioini,poi passo' a Nel 1628 Don Carlo Doria che lo abito' fino al 1800 da allora ha subito un lungo abbandono Posto su promontorio sopra l'abitato di Giffoni , da anni sta' subendo opera di restauro, quindi non ancora visitabile, molto particolare il borgo quasi completamente recuperato tra terrazzamenti con olive si scende verso Giffoni tramite il sentiero della stampella, molto caratteristico e paesaggistico! Case lasciate a se stesse e non uno straccio di salumeria per farsi un panino. Poche persone sopravvivono abbarbicate ai piedi di un castello. Si intuiscono i fasti del tempo che fu , con signori e feudatari che vivevano con il.mare all'orizzonte e i monti alle spalle. Peccato. Ennesima occasione persa I go back to Terravecchia after about a year and unfortunately I have to acknowledge that it is an "unfinished" village, that there has not been that leap in "quality" that the place would have needed.
