★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is another example of the mastery of Andrea Palladio not only in rustic country farm/villas, but also when dealing with an urban palazzo. The collonade towards the interior courtyard are quite impressive in their scale, monumentality and, even more, when put aside the "less monumental" lateral facades. It is not a museum, but the interior courtyard and staircases seem to be accessible to visitors.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The experience of living in a historic building in the center of Vicenza is exciting. The rooms are clean and quite large. We had only a problem because our room had an electric boiler to heat water. Thinking of taking a shower in five people one by one is sheer madness.

The owners are very kind and helpful, it has been an honor to sleep in one of the most famous palazzos built by the Renaissance genius Andrea Palladio! I whole heatedly suggest to choose Palazzo Valmarana Braga as your base to explore Vicenza one of the gems of northern Italy

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I visited friends who were staying here. Huge apartments in a genuine palazzo. One of the rooms in the building has ceiling frescos and the friendly owner will let you see it if you are a guest. There is a table so its possible to sit out in the courtyard for a drink or in our case a buffet as well. Very traditional Italian furniture and a small lift.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hotel itself is beautiful and the location is great. However, if you are traveling by car it is not convenient. While the hotel DOES have room for parking cars, they do not allow you to park there. We were actually told we couldn’t even drive on the street to drop off our things because it is on a “pedestrian” street. We later found out this was false as there were many cars driving on it. This was very inconvenient as we had two small children with us and many bags. We did ask about the parking situation multiple times before coming and it was never answered. Ended up having to find paid parking (very expensive) that was a bit of a way from the hotel. If you don’t have a car then obviously that will not be an issue for you. The location itself is great and close to cafes. Another issue with our room was it had an ant problem. Also, this hotel did not provide any soaps/shampoos. You will need to bring/buy everything yourself. Just something to keep in mind if you stay here.
