Dall'ingresso si accede ad un cortile ellittico e davanti si apre un arco monumentale che anticipa lo scalone doppio in pietra grigia. Un esempio mirabile di scala scenografica, come solo a Napoli si costruivano tra sei e settecento. I have not been able to visit the palace, but the gray stone staircase of Sanfelice is beautiful. The entrance leads to an elliptical courtyard and a monumental arch opens in front of it, anticipating the double staircase in gray stone. An admirable example of a scenographic scale, as only in Naples were built between the sixteenth and eighteenth centuries.

Consigliatissimo Stunning building, it deserves to be visited. In the building there is the Italian Institute for Philosophical Studies which can only be visited by booking. Highly recommended

E' un simbolo della Napoli intellettuale ed artistica, meraviglioso esempio di architettura, che purtroppo decade xchè manca della opportuna manutenzione ed attenzione. Tuttavia, il suo fascino decadente è innegabile ed ha un grande effetto su coloro che lo visitano. Vivo nel quartiere da sempre, e da buona "Bastarda di Pizzofalcone" non posso che suggerire assolutamente una visita a questo edificio, ed a tutta la zona che è ricca di tesori conosciutissimi ma anche misconosciuti... Palazzo Serra di Cassano is a building rich in history and culture of the Neapolitan nobility, well inserted in the context of a district that is both historic and popular at the same time. It is a symbol of intellectual and artistic Naples, a wonderful example of architecture, which unfortunately decays because it lacks the appropriate maintenance and attention. However, its decadent charm is undeniable and has a great effect on those who visit it. I have always lived in the neighborhood, and as a good "Bastarda di Pizzofalcone" I can absolutely suggest a visit to this building, and to the whole area which is full of well-known but also unrecognized treasures ...

Il fatto che ci vivano ancora persone (e passano mentre stanno spiegando) rende il tutto un po' meno affascinante. Close to the both coast and Piazza del Plebiscito (which is pretty much close to anything in touristic part of the city). Night guard is a bit confused so he might send you to another location at first, but other than that all is pretty cool.
