Palazzo De Sangro is a historic building in Naples, stands in Piazzetta Nilo. StoriaModifica It was built in 1506 by Giovanni de Sangro of the Dukes of Vietri and his wife Andreanna Dentice. San Severo Palace. A monumental palazzo in Vico San Domenico Maggiore, which was owned by the di Sangro family, Princes of San Severo and Dukes of Torremaggiore. This elder branch of the di Sangro family became extinct with the marriage in 1844 of its last surviving heir, Teresa di Sangro, Princess of San Severo (my great-great-grandmother), to Tommaso d’Aquino, 12th prince of Caramanico. It was originally connected to the San Severo chapel across the street by a footbridge, which collapsed by the end of the nineteenth century.
