★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Edificio pubblico di grande valore architettonico e ambientale, fu costruito da Angelo da Orvieto qualche anno dopo la realizzazione del Palazzo Comunale tifernate, su incarico dei Tarlati di Pietramala e fu ultimato nel 1368 quando il Comune, come si legge negli Annali, affittò cinque delle nove botteghe sottostanti. In questo Palazzo l’architetto adottò soluzioni stilistiche diverse, utilizzando dei filarotti di pietra serena levigata e squadrata. Sulle lunette sopra i portali delle botteghe al pian terreno, si intravedono consunti fregi e stemmi di Podestà che governarono Città di Castello. Un arco più ampio indica il voltone di ingresso al palazzo e comunica con la piazza retrostante. Sopra ogni porta è posta una piccola finestra a tutto sesto e in alto si aprono delle bellissime bifore ad ampio arco semicircolare. Il loggiato verso piazza Fanti fu costruito verso il 1620, mentre la facciata prospiciente piazza Matteotti fu completamente rifatta da Nicola Barbioni nel 1687.
Public building of great architectural and environmental value, it was built by Angelo da Orvieto a few years after the construction of the Tifernate Town Hall, commissioned by the Tarlati di Pietramala and was completed in 1368 when the Municipality, as stated in the Annals, rented five of the nine shops below. In this building the architect adopted different stylistic solutions, using rows of smooth and squared sandstone. Worn friezes and coats of arms of the Podestà who ruled Città di Castello can be seen on the lunettes above the portals of the shops on the ground floor. A wider arch indicates the entrance vault to the building and communicates with the square behind it. Above each door there is a small round window and at the top there are beautiful mullioned windows with a wide semicircular arch. The loggia facing piazza Fanti was built around 1620, while the facade facing piazza Matteotti was completely redone by Nicola Barbioni in 1687.
