★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bellissima la mostra dedicata a Raffaello da giovane, comunque la pinacoteca conserva bellissime opere.
 The exhibition dedicated to Raphael as a young man is beautiful, however the art gallery preserves beautiful works.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il palazzo di per sé è bello e merita di essere visitato, bello anche il giardino ma... pessima l'illuminazione delle stanze e delle tante opere d'arte. Eppure basterebbe poco per orientare meglio i faretti. È impensabile che la visita si faccia quasi al buio e talvolta si è rischiato di inciampare. Meno male che l'avevo già visitato in tempi pregressi e in condizioni decisamente migliori.
The building itself is beautiful and deserves to be visited, the garden is also beautiful but ... the lighting of the rooms and the many works of art are bad. Yet it would take little to better orient the spotlights. It is unthinkable that the visit will take place almost in the dark and sometimes one risked stumbling. Luckily I had already visited it in previous times and in much better conditions.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Una bellissima scoperta durante la visita a città di Castello! Pinacoteca cittadina allestita in questo palazzo nobiliare della famiglia Vitelli. Conserva al suo interno un'eccezionale collezione e attualmente ospita una mostra sui primissimi anni di Raffaello tra Urbino e Città di Castello dove dipinse lo Sposalizio della Vergine oggi a conservato nella Pinacoteca di Brera a Milano (circostanza questa ricordata da apposita targa...). Se ci si trova a Città di Castello è da visitare assolutamente!
A beautiful discovery while visiting Città di Castello! City art gallery set up in this noble palace of the Vitelli family. It houses an exceptional collection inside and currently hosts an exhibition on Raphael's early years between Urbino and Città di Castello where he painted the Marriage of the Virgin, now preserved in the Pinacoteca di Brera in Milan (a circumstance commemorated by a special plaque ...) . If you are in Città di Castello it is a must visit!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il Palazzo Vitelli alla Cannoniera (uno dei quattro presenti in città) ospita la Pinacoteca Comunale di Città di Castello. Di grande interesse sia il palazzo, con la facciata a graffiti di Gherardi su disegni di Vasari, e le sale affrescate da Cola dell’Amatrice, sia le opere in esso contenute, che vanno dal Rinascimento, con Raffaello e Signorelli, al Novecento, con De Chirico, Guttuso e Dottori. Molto bello anche il giardino.
The Palazzo Vitelli alla Cannoniera (one of the four in the city) houses the Municipal Art Gallery of Città di Castello. Of great interest is the palace, with the graffiti facade by Gherardi based on drawings by Vasari, and the frescoed rooms by Cola dell'Amatrice, and the works contained therein, ranging from the Renaissance, with Raphael and Signorelli, to the twentieth century, with De Chirico, Guttuso and Doctors. The garden is also very nice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely to see. Not just the outside, but especially the inside. One of the master piece of the town offering a great collection of paintings and history!
Negative side: the open time is too short. It should be open more hours and straight.
