★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is not a restaurant-pizzeria. It is a restaurant. And it specialises in typical hearty ferrarese food. It is magnificent.
I was with a group of friends on New Year's Eve. Most people chose two courses from appetiser/starter/main course + side dish and with different wines galore then coffees we ended up paying €30 each. Considering the restaurant is in the Old Town of Ferrara and considering restaurant prices in Italy on New Year's Eve can easily triple, the price was eminently reasonable.
I went for a mixture of cold sliced meats as an appetiser followed by a huge "cotoletta bassotta" steak + beans as a side.
Giacomo, Pietro & Paola who run the restaurant are also extremely friendly, wonderful human beings.
