★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic! Great value, lovely traditional food! Very nice service by the lady who owns the restaurant. We were a group of five, all being very satisfied. Personally, I can recommend the mixed platter. At 18 euros it gives great variety and gives an opportunity to try more than one dish. Very calm surroundings with an occasional car coming by. At 5 minutes from the city centre.

I went for lunch and tried their tasting Menu for EUR 25 comprising local delicacies like cappellacci di zucca, salma da sugo and torta tenerina. The dishes tasted excellent, especially the pastas. The service was warm and friendly. The lady in charge of the restaurant looks after every customer personally. My only critisism is that for the prices charged, the portions could have been larger.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful traditional osteria in the heart of pedestrian-friendly Ferrara. I had bookmarked this place and walked past it without any real interest. It looked quiet and empty a little before 20:00. We circled back and decided to see if we could eat here. Boy, are we glad we did. We ended up eating upstairs where the older proprietor personally waited on us. We let her recommend her specialities. Delicately fried anchovies … amazing! Butternut squash filled ravioli, one with the traditional butter & sage and one with Bolognese sauce … simply amazing. Their house dessert was outstanding. Great coffee followed by complimentary grappa. Such a great and affordable experience!
