★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Monacelle is a great little place. It’s very cute inside with a window overlooking the kitchen and it has a couple of outdoor sittings. My girlfriend was very please with her pasta dish and I on the other hand wasn’t as impressed with the orecchiette. It had broccoli instead of cime and there was no mention of that fro the waiter, plus it was slightly overcooked to my taste. Nevertheless, I do recommend to check this place out as the dishes we saw coming out of the kitchen looked delicious.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Yum!!!!! My friend and loads of websites suggested we go here and I’m so glad we did. They made a salad for us - that wasn’t on the menu. And my spaghettone was amazingly delicious. I loved it so much. Their three types of bread are delicious too and you can see it all being made - if you’re lucky enough to sit next to the kitchen window like we were!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were referred by a local shop keeper to come to this restaurant for lunch. And it turns out, the food was pretty decent and showed the specialties of Ostuni. Service was delightful and the atmosphere was all right. We were offered many freebies which complimented the experience, but the fish appetizer we were given at the beginning was too bony for us. We ordered calf cheek which was very tender and the mashed potato was flavorful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wish I could give more. Every ingredient is basically homemade and produced in the local farm owned by the restaurant holders. We took a mix of starters and two main dishes. Every bite was an explosion of flavour and taste. And the dessert, guys, the dessert...pear, ricotta and honey. I was dreaming. Excellent match of tradition and innovation. The chef is superb and the service is warm and informed (we were served by Mirko). The final price matched perfectly the quality of the meal. 5 stars.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best meal of our whole tour of Southern Italy! The hospitality was exceptional. Both hostess and chef checked in with us throughout the meal and made wonderful recommendations so we could try all foods native to Ostuni. They also make their own wine and olive oil. I would highly recommend their stuffed artichokes and meatballs.
