★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A change from the norm. If you’re getting tired of orecchiette and same-y food in Ostuni (which will happen quickly) then this place is perfect. It’s a meat-centric restaurant. They serve skewers of a selection, or grilled other meats including the ability to pick your own steaks from the meats of the day. We opted for two T-bone steaks (€5 per 100g so very cheap!) which were fantastic. Don’t forget that on the continent there is a tendency to cook meats less than other countries so if you like rare, ask for medium rare, etc! Simple but very tasty, for the price one of the best steaks I’ve had. Bottle of primitivo was good too, it was a warm day so the wine was too hot, we asked for it to be put on ice for a little while and they were more than happy to! (Remember this tip when I’m the area! Most restaurants know it’s too hot and will accommodate). The ‘cheesecake’ was to die for, buttery biscuit crumbled with a sweetened mascarpone and cream topping sprinkled with fresh fruit. Would highly recommend and we’ll be going again before we leave!

I must say that this is not my kind of place, but we came here with a group of friends, as I was told that they were also vegetarian friendly.
First of all, this place does NOT ask for Green Pass and does NOT respect Covid-19 regulations.
The service was very slow, nobody came at our table for about 20 minutes and we were treated with impatience from the waitress, when we solicited, for the second time, for our order to be taken. We really felt like they didn’t want us there.
There were few vegetarian options in the starters and in the pasta mains, which for a place like this is plenty, even though the waitress didn’t let me order what I wanted because of cooking times. So long story short, he decided what I had to eat, which saddened me quite a bit.
Then something unique happened, the wine arrived after the food! The food was ok. Also my friends didn’t speak wonder of the meat and my orecchiette were quite basic.
I want to understand that the night was hot and the guys are working very hard during summer (the temperature close to the kitchen was unbearable); so I don’t want to take it on the staff (except for the girl attitude), but the people who manage this place first should take more care of their staff, and then also reconsider their way of doing hospitality (for example avoiding sexist comments when receiving a complaint).
