★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful lunch on a family weekend out. Prime ingredients, excellent quality and service. The osteria is extremely friendly and a great spot to have a break for lunch. Castel del Monte is also incredibly beautiful, one of Italy's most beautiful borghi and from the restaurant you have a very nice view on the church and clock tower.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food was really good and we managed to find a spot without reservation. Service was relatively slow but I guess acceptable considered the place was full. Try the meat dishes especially the lamb and the arrosticini. You can't go wrong with meat in Abruzzo

When we arrived, the waitress didn’t acknowledge us or say hello. We decided to sit a table after a while standing up. The waitress arrived 5 minutes later and dumped the menus on the table without a word. The menu is fairly empty as it mainly refers to daily specials, especially for pasta and sides. We waved to the waitress to try and ask what the special are - she looked at us with a scowl, raised her hand to shut us up and left towards another table and never came back. After 15 minutes waiting, we just left! Horrendous.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food here was excellent. Had an incredible pasta with porcini and guancale, some of the best arrosticini I have had, and delightful tiramisu. The ambience was great and they were very friendly. Cannot recommend highly enough.
