★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First visit 9/24/01, the waitstaff are attentive and friendly. We ordered a glass of house white wine @€10 ea and 2 Ravioli Di Cacio E Pepe, Erbette Di Campo, Brodetto Di Vongole (Ravioli filled with “cacio”cheese and pepper , clams broth , herbs) @€18 ea. Excellent dish! Presentation was very visually appealing! We would have stayed a bit but had to go on a tour.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We made the mistake of coming here our first night in Venice and it ruined everything else for us. We spent the rest of our trip hitting every "best restaurant" on every list and ended up coming back here our last night. It's a little off the beaten path. Though a little expensive and the staff is a little rude, that's everything in Venice. And the food is so amazing it more than makes up for any minor complaint.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Highly recommend this restaurant for dinner! The food was fantastic - we had the cuttlefish ink pasta, crab pasta and oysters. Really reasonable prices and the service was 5 stars. They were friendly, welcoming and accommodating to our needs.
Please come here when you’re visiting Venice :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Da Carla is a hidden gem of San Marco area. Found it only because it was right next to our apartment.
The place itself is very nice and peaceful. You can take a table outside with no people passing by and staring :)
Personnel is super-friendly. We were with two kids and they did everything possible to make it comfortable and convenient.
As for the food - it is fantastic! Definitely worth trying, if you want to discover some Venetian delis that are not only looking good, but tastes amazing. You may find something you're never tried before or see something, that you never thought may look like that (try desserts :). Just trust the personnel and their recommendations.
Highly recommend the place!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have just had dinner here. Before this post, I also managed to go through few negative reviews. Sorry, but I should allow myself to be a bit snobbish here. I have to. Just because the place truly deserves that. Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, if you want pasta, pizza and loaded portions, all of that, you are welcome to find around the corner. There are plenty of options, believe me.
On the contrary, the Da Carla is the place for someone who is into spectacular food discovery and taste experiments. I am speeches with my food experience here. Bravo, Da Carla!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I highly recommend this if you’re in Venice. This is an excellent restaurant.
The pasta has excellent with an interesting crunchy fig crumble. I normally don’t like anchovies, but these were prepared very well. The sweet and salty balanced really nicely and I can tell that a lot of thought went into the dish. The wine suggested to pair was lovely as well.
The tiramisu was very different than traditional tiramisu, but so nice. It has what I think was coffee ice cream in the middle. Amazing.
The service was excellent as well. The whole staff was very attentive. Everything came out relatively quickly, but it didn’t feel like they were rushing me.
If you only have one night in Venice, make reservations for dinner here!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a fantastic little find. This is a great, small restaurant with super friendly and efficient staff. A lovely menu with some interesting dishes cooked really well. A great cheese and meats selection, escargot, salmon and liver were our choices along with a great bottle of red from Marche recommended by the server. Reasonably priced for the location, quality and service
