Trovato per caso, proprietari gentilissimi e disponibili. Piatti non squisiti, ma di più! Qualità e bontà, il loro forte. Provate i primi perché sono indimenticabili. Prezzo nella media.
Found by chance, very kind and helpful owners. Dishes not exquisite, but more! Quality and goodness, their strength. Try the first ones because they are unforgettable. Average price.

The chef and waitress were very friendly. Zhe food though was a bit of a disappointment. The mixed salad was composed of lettuce and two kind of tomato. Not sure if the latter was on purpose. The ordered Tagliolini was more a Spaghetti alla Chittara (rectangular Spaghetti) and a bit too raw (and I'm saying this while I really like very al dente Pasta).

Sat down quickly, waitress was very polite, given menus which only showed bottled beer - I ask (as it’s a beer hall according to google) what beer they have on tap, ‘birra Alla spina’, I’m told it’s a local blonde.. OK i say - 1 big and 1 small (grande e piccolo).. I proceed to get two lagers.. I question it.. no no it’s definitely a blonde the waitress says... I ignore it... I drink a lot of craft beer in London and have shares in a brewery, I know it’s lager but it’s my holiday and I’m not fussed... but what was the final straw that made me write this review? €13 euros for two beers... €7 for the pint.. €6 for the half pint!!! That’s worse than London prices!! Do not go here.. there are better places nearby who brew themselves and know good Italian craft brewers who get the barrels in on tap. I do not write negstive reviews often, but felt inclined this time. I do not like to hurt local business but please please.. market yourselves in a different way (just a bar) and be honest about your supply of craft beer (and educate your staff..)

Extremely incompetent and rude service. A menu that doesn’t reflect what’s actually available. A chef who starts yelling at his staff in front of you. Dishes that are marked up at 8-10 times their actual cost. Take a look at how they attack other people who wrote negative reviews and you will get a sense of how you will be treated if there is anything wrong with your meal. I ordered an item off the menu and it came with one ingredient instead of the five that were listed. When I started asking questions, there were no apologies. Instead I got yelled at. There is a lot of competition among restaurants in Ortigia and that part of Siracusa. And many other places that have craft beer. Do yourself a favor and go to a place that will actually appreciate your business and give you great food.
