★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ocean Ice Cream managed to manufacture and sell ice creams with no taste. We tried almond and straciatella flavors. The former one had no taste at all, the latter - I can not tell what the taste was, but the chocolate included was really bad. The one upside? There was a trash can nearby, do we were able to get rid of them easily.
One piece of advice if You are travelling to Sicily? Don't travel to Sicily.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pistacchio crock ice cream is very very good. It was the best ice cream we had, very intense pistacchio flavor and the best part is the crock part - really rich and delicious.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First day we came to eat two cones of ice creams and paid 5 euros. The next day we asked for the same and nobody asked us what kind of cones we would like to have. Though the portions were the same as the day before just been put in a different cone we paid 10 euros. Definately they dont care about the customers. One star more for the taste of pistacchio flavour, others were average. Rather try to avoid this place to not get scammed.

So, there are a million places in Ortygia where you can get granita / coffee. This, like most of them, is good - quite good in fact. The real value proposition, however, is when you're walking around early in the morning, and need to get your granita/coffee fix - there are a couple of small tables in the shade outside where you can sit and watch the piazza, in chill.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I came last night to eat a pancake to this place with my husband and we received a great service.
The girl working there was very kind and friendly (I think she could read our exhausted face) and she was very friendly and attentive, even did the effort to speak in Spanish with us. We left this place smiling for such a lovely encounter.
