β β β β β Palazzo Mirto is a way better experience for a third of the price. This is better maintained, for sure, being used for government events or whatever, but it's not worth the 19β¬ IMHO.
Also, we didn't know we needed FFP2 masks until they didn't let us in, no one at the ticket office said anything. They can barely speak English. Sad.
The chapel is the best part.

β β β β β The chapel was beautiful and worth seeing. Unfortunately the apartments were closed and yet we were charged full price. β¬15 just for the chapel seemed too expensive.

β β β β β Don't get to see a great deal considering size of the building but what you do see, particularly the Chapel and Gardens are worth while. Strange dog sculptures around.

β β β β β Norman Palace is nice but we couldn't enter in all of the rooms and the ticket was 15.5 eur. The Palatine Chapel is definitely worth a visit.

β β β β β The Palatine Chapel was incredible, and a beautifully preserved example of Arabic-Norman-Byzantine architecture. The rest of the palace was also well worth a visit. One of the best places to go in Palermo!

β β β β β If you don't get a chance to go to Monreale, this will be close... Just a smaller version. On the second floor you will find the church.. very gold and full of mosaics like Monreale. There is also lots to see around the palace and gardens, but don't miss the church. The bathroom is right by the metal detector when you come in..no other bathrooms were open
