β β β β β This place should be called Nino & Goons since the employees steal from customers. I'm thoroughly disappointed in this establishment and this experience really put a damper on my visit to San Gimignano, which is such a magical town. The cashier "accidentally" charged me for 2 boxes of cookies when I only purchased one, and there's no way that was an accident. There's a huge difference between 8,50β¬ and 17β¬, not to mention when she charged me I began looking through my bag to see if I had picked something else out and simply forgotten, but no, just the sole box of cookies. I didn't say anything because I was thinking there's no way she's overcharging me. I kept thinking about how overpriced those cookies were and I finally looked at my receipt about 20 minutes later and saw she charged me for 2. The moment she saw me return she looked horrified. After I confronted her she began fake apologizing and they said they couldn't give me a refund, even though it was their fault and it was most definitely purposeful, so I just got another box. They're lucky I didn't scream at them or contact their higher ups, which I will probably do anyway. There's no way that was an accident, and if it was, that woman is completely incompetent and has no business working as a cashier. I also see several other reviews detailing similar experiences so I recommend you stay away from this place. There are other places to buy overpriced sweets in Northern Italy where the staff won't steal your money!

β β β β β This place was an awesome find. Itβs not on a main strip but off on a side street. The candy is incredible and the people who work there are hilarious. If you want a free sample youβre in luck, every two seconds a guy was bringing a tray of things to try. We ended up buying almost everything and I will definitely buy more online. I know this is probably a chain store, but itβs one worth going to.

β β β β β This store was phenomenal. We visited 2, maybe 3, locations throughout Italy, and we were pleased each time. The staff is so kind and generously hands out free samples. We especially loved the hazelnut cookies. We bought some goodies from Nino & Friends to take back home. Really a fantastic store with fantastic employees. If you can find the chance, I absolutely recommend spending a few minutes walking around this store and enjoying it.

β β β β β SCAM! they have "faulty" credit card readers and by using the false ones they will charge you twice or even three times... Then they are going to simply say "Sorry, the problem is not with us, talk to your bank".

β β β β β I really like how they approach the moment you walk into the store and offer to try their chocolate and cookies. Nice gesture even though it's just a plain marketing. The sweets are delicious, nicely packed and can be a convenient gift from Italy if you manage not to eat them.
