Dal settembre 2016 il museo, assieme ad altri tre istituti, è confluito nel nuovo Museo delle Civiltà. Il museo raccoglie oggetti che testimoniano le arti e le tradizioni popolari tra la fine del XIX secolo e la prima metà del XX, documentando la vita quotidiana, il lavoro e la religiosità popolare nel periodo precedente all'industrializzazione. Il nucleo principale delle collezioni venne raccolto alla fine dell'800 e nei primissimi anni del '900 dall'etnologo Lamberto Loria (1855-1913) e venne esposto alla Mostra etnografica, tenutasi a Roma nel 1911 in occasione delle celebrazioni per il cinquantenario dell'unità d'Italia. Le collezioni, arricchite di numerose acquisizioni e donazioni, sono state collocate nell'attuale sede dell'EUR nel 1956. Il Museo ospita inoltre mostre tematiche su arti e tradizioni popolari italiane ed estere, nonché mostre di arte contemporanea di autori le cui opere sono realizzate con metodi e materiali riconducibili alla tradizione.
The Lamberto Loria Museum of Popular Arts and Traditions [1] is an Italian state museum. It is based in Rome and is named after its founder Lamberto Loria. Since September 2016 the museum, together with three other institutes, has merged into the new Museum of Civilizations. The museum collects objects that testify to the popular arts and traditions between the end of the nineteenth century and the first half of the twentieth century, documenting daily life, work and popular religiosity in the period preceding industrialization. The main nucleus of the collections was collected at the end of the 19th century and in the very first years of the 20th century by the ethnologist Lamberto Loria (1855-1913) and was exhibited at the Ethnographic Exhibition, held in Rome in 1911 on the occasion of the celebrations for the fiftieth anniversary of unification of Italy. The collections, enriched with numerous acquisitions and donations, were placed in the current headquarters of the EUR in 1956. The Museum also hosts thematic exhibitions on Italian and foreign popular arts and traditions, as well as contemporary art exhibitions by authors whose works are made with methods and materials that can be traced back to tradition.

Il complesso include la visita a tre musei: museo etnografico, museo delle tradizioni popolari, museo dell'alto medioevo. I lavori in corso hanno comportato il parziale spostamento di oggetti con modalità che ne hanno impedito la piena fruizione, anche per l'assenza di pannelli informativi.
Very interesting museum, also appreciated by children if properly prepared. Thematic rooms not all available at the date of the visit. The complex includes a visit to three museums: ethnographic museum, museum of popular traditions, museum of the early Middle Ages. The work in progress involved the partial movement of objects in ways that prevented their full use, also due to the absence of information panels.
