★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a very quiet and peaceful abbey, located on the outskirts of Rome. It may be relatively inconvenient to get here (nearest Metro station is Laurentina). However, it is a good place for prayer and reflection. Enjoy the walk in from the main road, where you will be met with a large statue of St. Benedict. There are three churches within this complex and I wished I had half a day to spend here. Don't forget to drop by the shop near the entrance, where you can buy good beer, chocolate and oil made by the monks.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The abbey Is very old. It Is the Place where st.Paul was beheaded. The name 'tre fontane' -three fountains , Is taken by the three jumps of st.paul's head. It's worth It to go, it's 15 minutes walking from the underground station ,B line, Laurentina.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tranquil, active monastery housing three churches, in one of which St Paul was martyred. The gift shop sells products made by the monks, including beer - making this the only Italian Trappist brewery. Very special.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the best place I recommend to those who want to meditate. I spend a good 3 solid hours at this place and I experienced an amazing spiritual encounter. Beside, this place is dedicated to the apostle Paul, the apostle to the Gentiles, this alone makes this place far important to any other religious site in Rome.
