★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great museum that tells the story of the now burnt out floating roman villas of Caligula. The museum is now dedicated to the local Diana's temple and the rich history of the area. Must stop if you are in the area. The museum is a good place to a morning and is only 3 euros.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We loved this Museum and layout of the artefacts - great explanations about the history of them and the area. The building is quite unique as it was built for the original ships Emporer Caligua built for entertainment on Lake Nemi - unfortunately the retreating Germans set fire to the originals and now they have scaled down replicas.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We loved it. Fascinating. I've docked it one star because the highest quality finds have been taken to a museum in Rome, Palazzo Massimo. What a shame. But the detailed reconstructions are great and the display boards good, in Italian and interesting English.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful Museum with the remains of two old Roman ships founded in Nemi lake, a volcanic lake 30 minutes from Rome city.
The shape of the Museum Is inspired from the ship's shape.there are a lot of handcrafts and statues from the I and II century BC.
It's worth It to go , it's very cheap and full of history!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful examples of archaeological findings from the area. Reconstructions of boats are a large display. There are also several great examples of local pottery and other house wares from the 1st century AD. Would recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great museum brought back from destruction after the second world war. Excellent layout of antiquities from the area. They reconstruction of Emperor Caligula's party ships is admirable and a great video ( it should be transcribed to English so all visitors could appreciate it).
