β β β β β There are two museums here in what used to be an industrial area. One is the museo dello sbarco: the museum of the American led invasion of Sicily in 1943. The other museum is the cinema museum. Both are runny exceedingly friendly staff that go out of their way to make sure you have a good time. The invasion museum has interesting footage of the invasion itself and some interesting objects. For original objects there's comparatively little to be seen in the cinema museum but it's a fun ride nonetheless. And the terrain is fun to wonder around.
On the other side of the street, on a corner, a bit towards the station there's an excellent spot for an authentic Sicilian lunch.

β β β β β Very interesting, with a plethora of things (ranging from old cameras to movie sets) shown. The tour is also available in English. The only downside is the staff: they quite lack the vivacity, or liveliness, required by such a job. But other than that, I highly recommend visiting this place.
