S	Sandro Cammelli on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Desideravo tornare a Kamarina dopo una visita troppo frettolosa di 3 anni fa. Purtroppo il museo è chiuso per restauri e così anche il sito archeologico: la delusione è mitigata dalla consapevolezza che quei lavori erano divenuti improcrastinabili. Consiglio vivamente una visita quando i restauri saranno terminati: l'area archeologica è vastissima su un promontorio che aggetta in mare e si intuisce la localizzazione del porto canale di questa colonia siracusana risalente al quinto secolo a.c.. Il museo di Siracusa conserva moltissimi reperti provenienti da questo sito e nel museo ora in restauro, suddivisi in tre padiglioni e sette sale,sono esposte una ricchissima raccolta di anfore,di monete,di suppellettili e statuette devozionali e pure reperti in selce risalenti alla preistoria. I lavori di restauro non dureranno all'infinito ma.....siamo in Sicilia e gli assessorati ai beni culturali non hanno grandi e sufficienti risorse. Attendiamo fiduciosi I wanted to return to Kamarina after a visit too hasty 3 years ago. Unfortunately the museum is closed for restoration and so is the archaeological site: the disappointment is mitigated by the awareness that those works had become irrepressible. I highly recommend a visit when the restorations are finished: the archaeological area is vast on a promontory that juts out into the sea and the location of the canal port of this Syracusan colony dating back to the fifth century is perceived.The Syracuse Museum preserves many finds from this site and in the museum now being restored, divided into three pavilions and seven halls, a rich collection of amphorae, coins, furnishings and devotional statuettes as well as flint finds dating back to prehistoric times are exhibited. The restoration work will not last forever but we are in Sicily and the cultural heritage departments do not have large and sufficient resources. We look forward to your trust
G	Giorgio Dipasquale on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Museo in restauro e finalmente dopo tanti anni un restauro ci voleva era nel totale abbandono ma tutto dovuto dalla mancanza dei fondi... Beh c'è da dire che la regione ormai poco investe in questo settore ma grazie a qualche dirigente ancora non in pensione ma veterano si fa qualche restauro e kamarina merita questo è quindi spero di tornarci a restauro finito!! Sul personale leggendo recensioni mi sanno di bugie perché personale cortese e disponibile Museum in restoration and finally after so many years a restoration was needed was in total abandonment but all due to lack of funds ... Well there is to say that the region now invests little in this sector but thanks to some manager still not retired but veteran does some restoration and kamarina deserves this so I hope to go back to finished restoration !! On staff reading reviews I know lies because of friendly and helpful staff

Sempre chiuso, nel sito risulta aperto e nessuno risponde al telefono, neanche all'info point turistico Bad experience, it's the second time I try to visit it! Always closed, the site is open and no one answers the phone, not even at the tourist info point

La direzione sta facendo l'impossibile per aprire, ma tra covid e problemi burocratico dovremo aspettare un po per goderci questo museo. For now the museum is still closed. The management is doing the impossible to open, but between covid and bureaucratic problems we will have to wait a while to enjoy this museum.

G	Giancarlo G on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Meravigliosa raccolta di reperti testimonianti la storia economica e sociale della zona, Kamarina era un punto centrale nel mondo conosciuto, di qui transitavano le merci dalla Grecia e dal nord africa. Causa i molti naufragi, sono stati recuperati parti di navi, vasi di vario tipo, monete, manufatti e molto altro. Non è grandissimo ma va visitato, peccato non si possano acquistare delle guide, non c'è nulla neanche come souvenir. Da vedere. Wonderful collection of finds testifying to the economic and social history of the area, Kamarina was a central point in the known world, goods from Greece and North Africa used to pass through. Because of the many shipwrecks, parts of ships, vessels of various types, coins, artifacts and much more have been recovered. It is not great but it must be visited, too bad you cannot buy guides, there is nothing even as a souvenir. To be seen.
