For all the three museums Museo correr, Museo Archeologico Nazionale, Bibliotec Nazionale Marciana its one entry pass/ticket. Nice to visit its exactly opposite to Basillica on the other side of St marks square. Not very much mandatory to visit if you have less time. I suggest any one visiting venice to buy museum pass at train station itself. Museum pass include Doge's palace entry and if if you visit around 3 to 4 museums with this pass along with Doge's palace then its worth and you have your money.

Mediocre museum which only takes about half an hour to finish. Some of the Roman sculptures were quite iconic, especially the one group of Roman emperors' busts. Edit in regards to the response: Thank you for your response! After looking for a while for the photos I took during last year's visit, I've reconsidered my rating of the museum and I would now give you a 5-star just for your frankness and for those remarkable Greek statues that somehow lapsed from memories when I wrote the review. I look forward to having an opportunity to visit your museum again in the future!

I love most history museums but found this one disappointing. Very small collection that didn't let me learn much about the past, nothing interactive, uninspiring. Had to buy an expensive ticket for the whole museum area and the palace to get in. This is only a place for those who are deeply into roman busts. EDIT: I am grateful for the museum's answer. Great that you are planning a remake! What I think could be added even before 2021 are simply better signs in several languages that tells the visitor more about the objects and what they can tell us about past times.

Very small exposition. A few nice sculptures. But I wouldn’t even call it an archeological museum as there were not that many archeological items or explanations where they came from

Very disappointed. I think maybe the museum doesn’t carry the right name and should be called collection. Terrible lack of context, you arrive there, there are lots of rooms next to each other, presenting things that have nothing to do with Venice (apart maybe who they belonged to?) and barely linked to each other in terms of context. They throw you into details without giving the base understanding. What I expect from an archeological museum (after having been to many): provide the historical context of the land, the region, who built it, why, help understand how it became so important… if there are no pieces from that time, show maps and images. Or at least explain it! An archeological museum is also about the history of the land, not only pieces that have been found there. They start closing everything 20’ before the end, it feels like you need to leave. Good that we found a book explaining what the museum was supposed to explain in the shop! It’s a shame for such an amazing history that it is nowhere to be found.

Cool museum, stuff could be explained a little better and perhaps in a more interesting way. Having said that it's an unexpected site in the middle of Venice and nice to get a small change from the busy city.

The museum is very beautiful. It has a lot of great rooms. In my opinion the rooms are the best part since the exhibits are only mildly interesting if you are not very invested in the past of Venice. Is is informative and well taken care of. There are a lot of interesting books in the museum shop. The toilets are clean and the personnel nice.
