★ ★ ★ ★ ★ museo & biblioteca sono situati nel medesimo Palazzo. la biglietteria si trova presso lo IAT a piano terra vicino la farmacia.
Il percorso museale si snoda su due piani e presenta reperti archeologici corredati da moderne installazioni multimediali. È possibile conoscere la storia della zona dal paleolitico fino ad arrivare ai giorni nostri e alla storia dell'evoluzione della città di Sestri.
interessanti le sale relative all'estrazione mineraria (il percorso continua poi nel parco archeominerario di Castiglione Chiavarese) e il cippo romano. Molto belle le installazioni multimediali. da segnalare la parte relativa al Novecento e il lavoro impeccabile dei curatori. Conferenze e varie iniziative animano questo Centro non solo contenitore di Storia passata ma di vita, cultura e tradizione della città.
museum & library are located in the same building. the ticket office is located at the IAT on the ground floor near the pharmacy.
The museum itinerary unfolds over two floors and presents archaeological finds accompanied by modern multimedia installations. It is possible to know the history of the area from the Paleolithic to the present day and the history of the evolution of the city of Sestri.
the rooms relating to mining are interesting (the route then continues in the archaeological mining park of Castiglione Chiavarese) and the Roman stone. The multimedia installations are very beautiful. noteworthy is the part relating to the twentieth century and the impeccable work of the curators. Conferences and various initiatives animate this Center not only a container of past history but of life, culture and tradition of the city.
