Very interesting museum with wonderful archeological findings. The ancient Greek bronze statues are a must see for everyone! The museum is well organised and the presentation is thought through. Only thing: There ticket shop could have more than one counter. ProTip: Think twice before standing in line for the statues as the line is just for the video instruction.

If there was only one reason for visiting Reggio de Calabria this will definitely be it; as no one in their right mind will ever neglect a visit to this fabulous collection. If Rome was the ultimate pilgrimage destination centuries ago this Museum is, for any respectable traveller, undoubtedly our modern pilgrimage must. The Riace bronze sculptures discovered in the early 70s alone, will be worth flying, driving or walking to Reggio de C. This museum will feed your mind with unique wondrous memories.

A decent museum and obviously proud of its heritage. The bronze statues are worth a visit alone to learn more about them. The rest is interesting but slightlybone dimensional with lots of grave discoveries on show - particularly pots. Having said that, the family enjoyed it

Come for the Bronzi, stay for the many more amazing pieces of historical legacy.

We visited the museum to see mainly the famous Riace Bronzes, although the rest caught our attention as well. The hospitality at the museum could be improved. The museum is located in the center and very close to the sea, so it is advisable to consider a few more hours to visit the city too.

A very nice museum, I have really liked it, descriptions are in Italian and English and tell the Calabrian history from prehistoric times to the conquest by the Roman Republic/Empire, I recommend it.
