The site on which the monument stands, by the Association of Veterans of the Battalion Bersaglieri AUC, was the one that saw the unfortunate attack of 8 December 1943 by the 2nd company, which was almost entirely destroyed. It is inserted in the context of the Battaglia Historical Park, with signs and explanatory panels in the most important points.
