★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Monumento inserito in uno slargo che nella Carrara antica era rappresentato da un giardino con un fossato posto a protezione del castello dei signori, con un ponte levatoio i cui resti si intravedono sotto ad una finestra attuale. Il largo è stato modificato con la deposizione di ovuli in marmo interrati e con la malta a cementarli con un disegno elegante inserito nei laterizi di passaggio. Il tutto a mostrare l'ingresso del palazzotto edificato dalla duchessa di Massa e princioessa di Carrara Maria Teresa Cybo Malaspina, moglie di Ercole Rinaldo d'Este duca di Modena, e destinato ad accogliere un'Accademia per l'insegnamento delle tre arti pittura-scultura-architettura e dedicata a San Ceccatdo, patrono della città di Carrrara.
Monument inserted in an open space in the ancient Carrara was represented by a garden with a moat to protect the castle of the lords, with a drawbridge whose remains can be seen under a current window. The open space was modified with the deposition of buried marble ovules and with the mortar to cement them with an elegant design inserted in the bricks of passage. All to show the entrance of the building built by the Duchess of Massa and princioessa of Carrara Maria Teresa Cybo Malaspina, wife of Ercole Rinaldo d'Este duke of Modena, and destined to host an Academy for teaching the three arts of painting - sculpture-architecture and dedicated to San Ceccatdo, patron saint of the city of Carrrara.
