Il panorama che si gode sulla sottostante vallata è di straordinaria, incomparabile bellezza e ripaga con gli interessi gli sforzi fatti per salire fin quassù. L'escursione al Monte Penna è di grande interesse naturalistico e paesaggistico in qualsiasi stagione dell'anno, ma assume aspetti di incantevole leggiadria nel tardo autunno, quando il bosco è ravvivato dai colori giallo e rosso del foliage.
