★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Palermo's Modern Art Gallery is hosted by the exquisite Palazzo Bonet (located next to Saint Ann church) and exhibits artworks from the 19th and 20th Century.
It's a good opportunity to admire masterpieces from various modern art currents that alternated in Italy at the beginig of 20th Century, including Futurismo, Novecento, Arte Povera and Metaphisical Art among others. There's also a hall dedicated to Sicilian Novecento, for a more local flavor. The exhibition is well organized and starts in opera style with the dramatic painting "I Vespri Siciliani" by Erulio Eroli.
The gran-finale is ensured by masterpieces signed by Guttuso, Pippo Rizzo and Sironi.
The only downside during my visit was the lighting of the gallery, which was very poor in some of the halls, ironically in the ones displaying the bright Lojocano's landscapes.
Gallery's bookstore worth a visit as well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was open during Xmas 2017 despite Google. Great exhibition of Bresson at time. Rest was also very good with some very impressive classical sculptures and early contemporary paintings.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went for a classical music concert in the evening and the atmosphere was great as was the music. So no experience regarding the exposed artworks but great atmospheric place in the evening

Permanent and temporary exhibition for 12€ (combo ticket). Cafeteria inside and not very crowded.

If reincarnatiin works local peple seen everything - rome latin basilics, dome bytazantine architecture and arabs mosaics. more orient, africa than europe. medias, mermaids, and ancient Greek mythic heroes shake hands around fountains. The air smells of passion through viciousness, and captivating Arabic music plays in the square
Intense, Fascinating place for stay. All around are beautiful parks ful of beauty and rocky bizarre ultras falling into the pure Mediterranean sea, which is dominated by the mysterious god Neptune.
