Fast cable car, not very crowded in early July. The first was not available around 12 July and was subsequently reopened after the necessary checks.

Die Plattform vor dem Gletscher wird auch Trincerone (3020m ) genannt.
Vom Stilfser Joch (2757m ) führt ein im Anfangsbereich extrem steiler Weg ( 35% Steigung) hoch zum Ortlerhaus.
Hier werden die meisten, wieder den Rückzug antreten, für einen normalen PKW ist hier auch normalerweise Schluss!
Ausnahmen bestätigen, allerdings die Regel, wie wir oben feststellen mussten.
Herrliche Aussichten, der Ortler ist zum Greifen nah und die gute Höhenluft, belohnten uns.
Auf dem Video und den Fotos kann man leider nicht erkennen, wie steil die Wege wirklich sind
Man hängt bei der Abfahrt förmlich in den Gurten.

The platform in front of the glacier is also called Trincerone (3020m).
From the Stilfser Joch (2757m) an extremely steep path (35% gradient) leads up to the Ortlerhaus.
Most of them will retreat here, for a normal car this is usually the end!
Exceptions confirm, but the rule, as we discovered above.
Magnificent views, the Ortler is within reach and the good mountain air, rewarded us.
Unfortunately, on the video and the photos, you can't see how steep the paths really are
You literally hang in your belts on the descent.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Trincerone situato a 3.000 metri (circa) è Il punto Centrale della Funivia tra Stelvio e Livrio. in questa brevissima Tappa si prosegue con la seconda tratta che porta direttamente al rifugio Livrio, situato a 3174 Mt. (il punto piu alto raggiungibile con la funivia)

SALENDO DA STELVIO:
Questo tratto (con la funivia) dura circa 3 minuti
SCENDENDO DA LIVRIO:
(una volta arrivati alla stazione di Trincerone) ci si può fermare e volendo si può percorrere la discesa a piedi (obbligatori degli scarponi che siano perfetti e di ottima fattura per affrontare la discesa) nel caso si volesse compiere l'impresa. ma è consigliato continuare con la funivia.
Trincerone located at 3,000 meters (approximately) is the central point of the cable car between Stelvio and Livrio. in this very short stage you continue with the second section that leads directly to the Livrio refuge, located at 3174 Mt. (the highest point reachable by cable car)

GOING UP FROM STELVIO:
This stretch (with the cable car) takes about 3 minutes
COMING DOWN FROM LIVRIO:
(once you arrive at the Trincerone station) you can stop and if you want you can walk the descent (perfect and well-made boots are required to tackle the descent) in case you want to do the feat. but it is recommended to continue with the cable car.
