Bormio Ski

One of the best ski resorts in Europe, balanced price for value, weather decent, protected inside the mountains. Good food options and locals very open. Bus schedule almost perfect.

Ski above the clouds in Bormio. A small ski resort high in the Italian Alps. When we came there was no snow in the village, only in Bormio 2000. Ski runs are steep with less opportunities for off piste.

I am only a beginner but felt like there was enough for me to feel comfortable on. Lift.stafd were friendly and the mountain itself seems to provide a good range for people. All in all a great afternoon on the mountain ?

I've been going to Santa Caterina and Bormio for years, I've been here at least 8. Unfortunately, I have to say that it's getting worse and worse. I'll start with a visit to the pool. We ask the receptionist what is limited and tell us that only Turkish baths. Inside, however, we see not only the limit on the number of people in the sauna, but also the pool with whirlpools and city views is closed. We went to Bormio on Wednesday, February 23, 2022. There was a race here. The entire piste, which reaches the seat, was closed to racing. In the place in front of the lift (seat) everywhere, but everywhere young competitors who absolutely did not respect other participants of the cable car and ski pass users. Their giant backpacks tossed everywhere. Getting to the cable car was really a feat. As for Santa Caterina as well as through a copier. Every day closed slopes for ski schools and their races. Today, February 24, 2022, the arrival to the Paradiso restaurant is also quite um, because you have to cross a half-closed ski slope for races, and when you leave the restaurant, you drive 1.5 wide so that young Italians can have their own races. Not to mention the local instructors, who also only accept their charges who have paid them and the others on the cable car are not interested. They are everywhere, they stop in corners where it is dangerous and they cross the whole piste, so you slowly don't even have the opportunity to go around them. They are arrogant and overtake everywhere. For example, an older blonde instructor rode to my girlfriend even though she saw her. Many of the slopes are no longer groomed here, and if so, there are restrictions due to children's races. For example, the poma that I got to the hill and from there to the cabin no longer works. If I didn't know it here, I wouldn't have a comparison, but it's really worse. I personally come here for about 9.5 hours, because I've always liked it here, but I'd rather go to Austria, where the locals don't behave like that. When the others dislike this, the Italians will stare at the empty slopes and they will not have anything to say. They probably don't realize that tourism feeds them here. I pay the normal ski pass price and I want to have access to all slopes. Unfortunately, some have other privileges. Hi. Damage.

Well maintained slopes for beginners to advanced, not so much for experts. Very accessible, plenty of lifts, lots of places to eat and drink. Ski pass is valid for the neighboring resorts as well, which you should definitely make use of, passes grant access to buses ad well - Santa Caterina especially has more advanced slopes and great scenery.

Wonderfull sunny weather on 1 Feb. But day before (monday) due to strong wind they moved off chairs from Bormio2000-cimino and all lifts up from bormio 2000. If is just not fair that you pay regular price for Half amount of lifts. It is very clear that during the week they will not open any more lifts that 3seat lift from Bormio 2000 and will put chairs fir weekend. It is just cheating and stealing.
