★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed at Miralago Como for a week in October to visit family. We LOVED it all. Recently renovated, the apartment looks brand new and had everything we needed (lots of natural light, enough storage for the 4 of us, fully equipped kitchen and a washer/dryer combo). The location is perfect - one street up from the lake (you can see it from your window!) and close to everything (lakeside restaurants, supermarkets, florist, cleaners and pharmacy). Need a shortcut, you can take the stone steps and you'll be down at the lake in 5 minutes. The Como-Brunate funicular is 2 minutes away. Easy access from Piazza Cavour to the ferry to Menaggio, Bellagio, and Varenna. We walked everywhere (but there’s a bike rent place down the stone steps if you want to ride). The train and bus station are a 5-min walk down the slope. The Duomo and centro storico are a 15-min walk or a 5-min bike ride. Perfect for a couple with a child; a second baby in a play pack could also fit. The hosts are super kind. Thank you, Costante and Gabriella for hosting us, we had a spectacular vacation!
