Un allestimento curatissmo ed una collezione preziosa ricca di informazioni. Un ottima occasione per immergersi nelle atmosfere del Tibet restando in Italia... Il Maco è piccolo ma con una collezione molto curata e particolare che consente di apprendere molto sulle tradizioni tibetane e buddiste. Si raggiunge a piedi, dato che si trova nella Rocca Aldobrandesca di Arcidosso. Di norma è aperto nei fine settimana ma noi abbiamo chiamato e fissato una visita infrasettimanale, potendo così avere il museo tutto per noi. L'ingresso è ad offerta. A little corner of Tibet in Tuscany. The Maco is small but with a very accurate and particular collection that allows you to learn a lot about Tibetan and Buddhist traditions. It can be reached on foot, as it is located in the Rocca Aldobrandesca di Arcidosso. It is usually open on weekends but we have called and set up a midweek visit, thus being able to have the museum all to ourselves. Admission is on offer.

G	Gian Luca Attolini on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 974/5000 The Museum of Oriental Art and Culture is located in the former Chancery, an eighteenth-century two-storey building, part of the Aldobrandesco Castle complex. The building kindly made available by the Municipality of Arcidosso, is the result of over 35 years of collaboration between the Dzogchen Community of Merigar and the Municipality of Arcidosso. The Museum is a project conceived by Prof. Namkhai Norbu, internationally renowned scholar, president of the Dzogchen Community, of the Shang Shung Foundation, of ASIA Onlus, and author of over 250 publications. He has collected with his family a private collection consisting of about five thousand artifacts: works of art, craft and costume objects, votive objects of considerable cultural and ethnographic value, important documentary collections and documents concerning his research and studies on Himalayan and Central Asian culture. It is really worth visiting with Merigar, the Dzog Chen center nearby.
