This restaurant is all about the amazing Pugliese kitchen. Owner/Chef Vito and his team work their magic and the result is consistently excellent; simple, unadulterated, prepared with care and with fresh high quality ingredients, truly wonderful Pugliese cuisine. This restaurant is very popular every night all year round, so be sure to book in advance.

It also happened to be our very first meal during our very first time in Italy after a very long day of air travel from NYC so I remember it well. I'm all about eating where the locals eat and this was definitely a locals joint. I don't remember everything that we ordered but we had the antipasti (which included several local dishes) along with some pasta dishes including an orrechiete dish, which we were told included donkey meat. We had our server repeat "donkey" several times just to make sure we heard her correctly. It was surprisingly delicious and tasted just like beef. We just figured...when in Rome right....?! and went with it. Their portions were generous and quite delicious. The house wine was cheap and good and our check for a group of 4 was just about $60. It ended up being a really good recommendation. It struck us as strange that our table was initially served with bread and nothing else. We had to ask for olive oil and salt and later came to discover after spending the next 2 weeks all over Italy, that this is quite the norm there. Buon Appetito!

We had a typical 8-course antipasti for 2 people and were applauded by the waitress when we got through most of it... During the lockdown in Nov 2020, we also had takeaway a couple of times, sitting in the car on a rainy day eating vast quantities of parmigiana, orecchiette con cime di rapa and some sort of mushroom pasta. Incredibly warming and good for the soul. Definitely worth a visit!

Friendly staff, offering great advice, excellent range of vegetarian options, and generous portions. I really appreciated how responsive they were to requests made on their website. Strongly recommended.
