A typical restaurant located in a small village near San Miniato, the rustic environment matches with the excellent traditional Tuscan food served to you. Very friendly staff, I definitely recommend it!

Siamo stati per l'ultimo dell'anno e la qualità delle pietanze è stata sotto la sufficienza. I due primi (cannelloni e simil pennette) davvero scadenti, la polenta sciapita e l'altro secondo di carne appena sufficiente. Decisamente non ci tornerei. The place is nice, very rustic. The problem was definitely not up to food. We stayed for the last year and the quality of the food was under enough. The first two (like penne and cannelloni) really poor, the sciapita polenta and the other main meat just enough. Definitely would not return.

Casale perfettamente ristrutturato posto in una collinetta alle spalle di San Miniato, facile da raggiungere in auto con ampio parcheggio. Il menù fisso ci ha deluso , antipasto vario ma la crema di tartufo essendo liquida ha praticamente contaminato l'ntero piatto. Cannelloni tiepidi e secchi. Il primo ai funghi poteva andare bene ma povero di sale. La polenta con il cinghiale aveva nel sugo piccoli frammenti di osso. Il prosciutto arrosto non era male ma troppo scontato se presentato in quel modo. Il dolce natalizio era praticamente una torta di compleanno... Che dire per 60€ a persona forse pretendo troppo ma comunque penso che con i soliti ingredienti chi ha voglia di cucinare e con un minimo di presentazione si poteva apparire in maniera molto più decorosa. Servizio ottimo , tutti gentili e garbati. New Year's Eve dinner. Perfectly restored farmhouse located in a hill behind San Miniato, easy to reach by car with ample parking. The set menu disappointed us, varied appetizer but the truffle cream being liquid has practically contaminated the whole dish. Warm and dry cannelloni. The first one with mushrooms could be fine but low in salt. Polenta with wild boar had small bone fragments in the sauce. The roasted ham was not bad but too obvious if presented in that way. The Christmas cake was practically a birthday cake ... What to say for 60 € per person, perhaps I expect too much but I still think that with the usual ingredients, those who want to cook and with a minimum of presentation could appear in a much more decent way. Excellent service, all kind and polite.
